Position Summary...
The Director, Specialty Compliance and Ethics leads the development and execution of compliance strategies aligned with evolving regulatory requirements. This role oversees policy creation, monitors adherence to laws and ethical standards, and collaborates with senior leadership to address compliance gaps. The director drives continuous improvement by analyzing risks, implementing training programs, and fostering a culture of integrity across the organization. By leveraging industry best practices and cross-functional partnerships, this position ensures regulatory compliance while supporting business objectives and promoting ethical conduct throughout the enterprise.
About the team
The Origin Verification team plays a vital role within the U.S. Trade Compliance Program. This team collaborates closely to establish and maintain effective controls ensuring Walmart’s and Sam’s direct imports meet all regulatory requirements for accurate country of origin declarations. Members contribute to developing and implementing compliance strategies, monitoring regulatory changes, and supporting adherence to policies. The team fosters a culture of integrity and accountability, working cross-functionally to uphold standards and drive continuous improvement in compliance processes that protect the company and support its business objectives.
What you'll do...

Oversee responses to compliance and ethics inquiries, ensuring alignment with state and federal regulations.

Lead research and analysis of laws, policies, and procedures, updating documentation with leadership input.

Collaborate with senior management to communicate compliance information to field associates and identify potential gaps.

Develop and implement strategies addressing regulatory changes, including training programs and stakeholder engagement.

Direct the creation and evaluation of compliance policies, procedures, and risk management processes aligned with business objectives.

Monitor key performance metrics and report on compliance program effectiveness across the enterprise.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $220,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
