About this role

The Value Stream Supervisor (VSS) oversees the production process and the overall management of the value stream to ensure their success through ongoing feedback. The VSS supports the Team Leader with managing of the day to day activities to ensure smooth flow of the production line providing leadership to the team through ongoing coaching and guidance to meet expectations. The VSS is responsible for monitoring the team’s KPI’s and identifying areas for improvement and establishes action items to support improvement of their line.

Position Tasks:

• Establishes Leader Standards of Work (LSW) to prioritize and ensure high payoff activities are completed daily, weekly and monthly.

• Measures the Value Stream’s performance using JIVE to track efficiencies and progress throughout the week.

• Provides reports and updates to your manager as required.

• Collects and analyzes data to identify high priority action items to address What’s Stopping Us (WSU).

• Ensures LSW, data collection and continuous improvement initiatives are occurring within the value streams, and tracks actions with target completion dates utilizing JIVE and visual management boards.

• Leads weekly huddles and coaches Team Leader on daily huddle performance.

• Conducts LSW audits and provides effective feedback to the Team Leader to guide the Team Leaders’ daily actions.

• Assesses the dashboard for overall production in comparison to individual results and evaluates operator efficiencies using Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and identifies and provides coaching to the Team Leader as required.

• Assists in resolving concerns and troubleshooting emergencies pertaining to quality or customer-related issues, in order to quick and effective resolution.

• Understands and facilitates discussion within the cell with respect to continuous improvement initiatives within the company, performance measures, corporate vision and new objectives.

• Reviews production schedule to align employee work hours and shifts with production, including posting of overtime schedule as per the Cam Tran Overtime guidelines. Reviews and approves, in collaboration with Team Leader, time off, in alignment with production scheduling.

• Identifies cross training opportunities and coordinates with Team Leader to establish training plans in compliance with official training sign offs and develop training matrix on cell board.

• Responsible for all employee related matters including but not limited to performance, absenteeism and other workplace related concerns.

• Participates in the talent acquisition process and procedures to ensure successful hiring and onboarding of all new employees to the team.

• Assesses the production process to ensure compliance with Cam Tran safety policies and processes.

• Carries out other duties as required.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Business, Management, Engineering or equivalent field of study preferred

• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or production management, preferably in the electrical or related industry.

• Proven leadership skills with the ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve goals and objectives.

• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, safety regulations, and quality standards.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.

• Ability to analyze complex issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.

• Proficiency in project management, scheduling, and logistics planning.

• Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and best practices.

• Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean Six Sigma) is a plus.
