Compensation

Hourly base pay rate is $18.22 - $27.36/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

Job Description

Essential Job Responsibilities

Reporting & Inventory Management

  • Generate and maintain weekly inventory compliance and operational performance reports
    • Out of Compliance for multiple clients at 4 auctions (Manheim Baltimore-Washington, Manheim Fredericksburg, Manheim Harrisonburg and Manheim Maryland)
  • Use AutoIMS & DHL to monitor Ready Logistics' moves for Out of Compliance report and obtain EBOL's to research notes on unit's moves

Transportation Coordination

  • Manage vehicle pickup and transportation requests from clients and management teams
  • Provide transport quotes to clients and auction management
  • Coordinate vehicle transportation with lot agents, carriers, and transport providers 
  • Oversee Element Door-to-Door process to ensure timely communication, billing, and organization to manage client requests

Vehicle Movement & Documentation

  • Use AS400 to create, manage, update, and cancel transportation and pickup documentation
  • Ensure required documents are provided to transporters
  • Ensure clients provide required documents to lot agents
  • Track vehicle movement from pickup to delivery

Payment Processing

  • Process payment requests related to transportation, storage, and vehicle release fees for 3 auctions (Manheim Baltimore-Washington, Manheim Fredericksburg and Manheim Maryland)
  • Review invoices and verify supplier information for accuracy
  • Coordinate with finance, posting, and accounting teams to facilitate payments
  • Submit payment requests through company systems and track requests through completion
  • Arrange shipment and delivery of checks via FedEx or USPS
  • Maintain detailed records of payments, invoice status, and related transactions

Client & Vendor Communication

  • Serve as a point of contact for clients requesting moves internally, transporters, lot agents, and internal teams
  • Collaborate with lot operations and transport teams to resolve inaccurate vehicle deliveries

May be asked to assist with other admin functions as needs arise. 

Qualifications:

Minimum:

  • High School Diploma/GED and 3 years' experience in a related field.
  • OR the right candidate could also have a different combination, such as any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED in a related discipline; OR 5 years' experience in a related discipline.
  • Safe driver's needed; valid driver's license required.
  • Effective communication skills required.
  • Must possess good problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Basic computer software skills required.
  • Vision abilities required include close, distance and depth perception.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of the auto transport industry, carrier types, truck types and capabilities
  • Strong organizational skills and demonstrated capacity to develop and implement practical strategies, plans, and solutions to identified issues and problems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle high pressure situations and tight deadlines
  • Good judgment, discretion, tact and the ability to work easily at all levels within the organization
  • Ability to partner well with colleagues in a matrixed work environment.
  • Ability to work independently and to undertake responsibilities with minimal guidance

Drug Testing

To be employed in this role, you’ll need to clear a pre-employment drug test. Cox Automotive does not currently administer a pre-employment drug test for marijuana for this position. However, we are a drug-free workplace, so the possession, use or being under the influence of drugs illegal under federal or state law during work hours, on company property and/or in company vehicles is prohibited.

Employees are eligible to receive a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
