About this role

We’re seeking someone to join our Tax team as a Vice President.

In the Finance division, we act as a partner to business units around the globe by providing management, review, analysis and advisory services of the Firm’s financial and capital resources.

This is a Vice President level position within our Tax & Advisory Job Family which ensures compliance with income and indirect tax filings, reports tax information for the Firm’s regulatory filings, manages the Firm’s global tax authority relationships, including tax controversy and monitors relevant tax regulations and legislation. Additional responsibilities include managing the Firm’s domestic and international tax strategies, determining the Firm’s transfer pricing policies and advising Senior Management and BUs on business products, strategic transactions and restructuring objectives.

What you'll do in the role:

  • Lead the APAC regional tax provision process (quarterly and annual tax provision calculations, including deferred tax) and related financial reporting requirements

  • Play a key role in transition of APAC tax provision process into TRCS, and continuously identify and implement opportunities for process optimization, automation, and standardization

  • Manage quarterly and year-end ETR forecast and analysis process for the region for consolidation into the global process, including reporting within CorpTax system

  • Partner closely with rest of the regional tax team, financial controllers, accounting policy

  • Assist in regional projects involving business unit initiatives, as well as capital and legal entity restructuring transactions

  • Potential to expand responsibility to regional tax coverage, business unit advisory as well as other regional responsibilities

  • Proactively look for opportunities to strengthen controls, document processes and put in place governance where required

  • Initially will have a team of 2 reporting into this position

What you'll bring to the role:

  • Strong tax accounting expertise; experience with both US GAAP and IFRS preferred

  • CPA / equivalent with at least 10 years of relevant experience in accounting firm or in-house Tax / Finance department  

  • Familiarity with CorpTax and TRCS systems a plus

  • Strong risk and control mindset, process driven; project management capability and ability to work with multiple stakeholders
