Position: Relation Manager - Vice President

Global Corporate Banking Department

Job Summary:

The Corporate Banking Relationship Manager is responsible for managing and developing relationships with corporate clients, offering tailored financial solutions to meet their business needs. This role involves driving revenue growth through client acquisition, deepening existing relationships and ensuring the highest level of client service.

Key responsibilities:

Client Relationship Management:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of corporate clients.
  • Develop strong relationships with key decision-makers within client organizations.
  • Understand clients’ businesses and financial needs to provide customized banking solutions.

Business Development:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the corporate banking space.
  • Prepare and deliver client proposals and presentations.
  • Work with internal stakeholders, including other overseas branches and regional head quarter to enhance our business and structure deals and execute transactions.

Credit & Risk Management:

  • Prepare credit documents in cooperation with Credit Analyst, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and manage credit exposures, ensuring timely renewals and documentation.

Non-Financial Risk Management:

  • Coordinate and support country-level Non-Financial Risk Management (NFRM) activities by engaging with stakeholders to facilitate risk assessments, incident management, monitoring, and governance reporting.
  • Ensure the quality, completeness, and timely submission of NFRM-related data, documentation, and reports.
  • Drive the effective implementation of NFRM frameworks, policies, and standards by promoting a strong risk management culture across the branch.

Product Knowledge & Advisory:

  • Promote and cross-sell the bank’s products and services, including loans, trade finance, treasury, and cash management solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with market trends, economic indicators and regulatory changes impacting clients.

Operational Excellence:

  • Ensure smooth execution of client transactions and banking services.
  • Collaborate with operations, legal and compliance, risk management, and transaction banking teams to resolve client issues.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on client activities and pipeline.
  • Support and assist management and respective department head to improve inter-departmental operation, implement business strategy and inter-departmental or regional collaborations.
  • Educate junior staffs so that they can conduct their assignment independently and support them for smooth operation.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field (MBA or CFA is a plus).
  • Minimum 8 years’ working experience in corporate or commercial banking / financial services industry.  
  • Proven track record of managing mid-to-large corporate client relationships.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in English
  • Strong Interpersonal skills
