About this role

At Belong, we believe in creating communities where everyone feels valued, connected and cared for. Our volunteers play a vital role in enriching the lives of older people, including those living with dementia, by helping to create meaningful experiences, friendships and opportunities every day.

We are currently looking for reliable and enthusiastic volunteers to join our team at Belong Morris Feinmann in the following roles:

Volunteer Minibus Drivers

Do you enjoy meeting people and helping others stay connected to their community?

As a Volunteer Minibus Driver, you'll support our customers to attend outings, appointments and community activities, helping them maintain their independence and enjoy new experiences.

We're looking for volunteers who:

  • Hold a full, valid UK driving licence.
  • Are confident driving a minibus (training and guidance provided where applicable).
  • Are friendly, patient and approachable.
  • Can commit to volunteering on a regular basis.

Volunteer Companions & Activity Volunteers

We're seeking outgoing, compassionate individuals who can build meaningful relationships with older people, including those living with dementia.

This role is ideal for those who enjoy conversation, activities and making a positive difference in someone’s day.

Activities may include:

  • One-to-one companionship.
  • Supporting group activities and events.
  • Arts and crafts sessions.
  • Games, quizzes and reminiscence activities.
  • Accompanying customers on walks and outings.
  • Encouraging participation and social engagement.

We're particularly looking for volunteers who:

  • Can commit to volunteering regularly.
  • Are confident working independently.
  • Have excellent communication skills.
  • Are warm, engaging and enjoy spending time with older people.
  • Have an interest in supporting people living with dementia.

Keeping Everyone Safe

To ensure the safety and well-being of everyone in our Villages, all volunteers are required to complete an Enhanced DBS check and provide references. Don’t worry — we’ll cover the cost and guide you through the process.
