The Vice President, Capital Markets Syndication Manager is responsible for leading the syndication and distribution of commercial lending, equipment finance, and specialty finance transactions to banks, institutional investors, and funding partners. This role develops and manages strategic investor relationships, structures and executes syndicated transactions, and drives secondary market liquidity initiatives that support portfolio growth and capital efficiency.The VP serves as a key liaison between origination, credit, legal, operations, and external funding partners to ensure successful execution of syndication opportunities while maintaining compliance with internal policies and risk management standards. The position requires strong market knowledge, transaction structuring expertise, and the ability to develop long-term capital partner relationships that support the organization's growth objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the execution of sell-side syndication, participation, assignment, and secondary market transactions
- Source, develop, and maintain relationships with banks, institutional investors, finance companies, and other funding partners
- Evaluate, structure, and market transactions to potential syndication partners.
- Coordinate syndication strategies with production, credit, and executive leadership teams
- Prepare transaction summaries, investor presentations, and marketing materials for prospective funding partners
- Negotiate transaction terms, pricing, documentation, and funding structures with syndication participants
- Manage the syndication pipeline and monitor transaction progress from origination through closing
- Analyze market conditions, investor appetite, pricing trends, and competitive dynamics to optimize transaction execution
- Collaborate with legal counsel and transaction teams to ensure documentation accurately reflects negotiated structures
- Assist in developing and expanding strategic capital markets and syndication programs
- Support portfolio management initiatives, including loan sales, assignments, participations, and bulk transactions
- Monitor existing funding partner relationships and identify opportunities for increased transaction volume
- Maintain compliance with banking regulations, internal policies, and capital markets governance standards
- Prepare management reporting related to syndication activity, funding sources, transaction profitability, and portfolio distribution
- Represent the organization at industry conferences, investor meetings, and business development events
- Identify opportunities to improve syndication workflows, reporting, and operational efficiencies
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in capital markets, syndications, commercial banking, specialty finance, equipment finance, structured finance, or related financial services
- Demonstrated experience executing syndicated loan, participation, assignment, or secondary market transactions
- Strong understanding of credit underwriting, transaction structuring, and commercial lending products
- Proven track record of building and managing institutional investor and funding partner relationships
- Experience negotiating transaction terms and documentation
- Strong financial modeling, analytical, and valuation skills
- Excellent presentation, communication, and relationship management abilities
- Advanced proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, CRM platforms, and financial reporting tools
- Ability to manage multiple complex transactions simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
