Warehouse Assistant- Inbound Fresh
Babylonstoren is looking for a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Assistant to support daily warehouse, storage and shipping operations. The successful candidate will assist with receiving goods, managing stock, preparing orders and maintaining a safe and organised working environment.
Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect and unload incoming shipments.
- Check and verify goods against purchase orders.
- Move and place products on shelves or designated racks.
- Pick and pack the correct items for customer orders.
- Load outgoing orders onto delivery vehicles.
- Use barcode scanners and computer systems.
- Operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Assist with physical stock counts.
- Monitor and report stock levels.
- Keep workstations and aisles clean and free of hazards.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear the required protective equipment.
Requirements and advantageous experience
- Previous warehouse experience will be advantageous.
- Experience working in a cold-chain environment will be advantageous.
- A valid Code 8 or Code 10 driver’s licence will be advantageous.
- A valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP) will be advantageous.
- Ability to perform physically demanding duties.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
