Job Description

As a vital leader at our plant, the Production Supervisor, reporting to the Production Manager, is the driving force behind the success of their shift. You'll be at the helm, steering production, workforce development, and operational planning. Your mission? To energize the team, uphold safety, and hit every production target with precision and excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Orchestrate Plant Operations: Lead the charge on your shift, ensuring smooth and efficient production that never misses a beat.

  • Maximize Efficiency & Productivity: Constantly push boundaries to boost performance, from machinery to manpower, making sure objectives are smashed.

  • Troubleshoot & Innovate: Keep equipment running flawlessly while identifying challenges before they become issues.

  • Champion Continuous Improvement: Be the torchbearer for change management, driving innovation and fostering a culture of constant growth.

  • Uphold Safety Standards: Enforce all SOPs and safety protocols to maintain an environment where everyone thrives.

  • Data-Driven Performance: Analyze production reports, eliminate inefficiencies, reduce breakdowns, and continually elevate overall output.

  • Inspire Leadership: Be the voice of company policies, energizing employees through clear communication and hands-on guidance.

  • Cultivate Employee Success: Motivate and empower teams, fostering an environment where employees take ownership of their work.

  • Advance Training & Succession: Oversee training initiatives and plan for the future by developing the next generation of leaders.

  • Ensure Quality Excellence: Conduct thorough inspections and implement material testing to guarantee product standards are met.

  • Drive Capital Projects: Play a key role in large-scale projects—from design to installation—ensuring timely and budget-friendly execution.

  • Lead Safety Compliance: Take the lead on enforcing safety programs, ensuring all staff are trained and adhering to safety protocols.

  • Optimize Daily Operations: Own production planning, staffing, and troubleshooting to keep operations smooth and cost-effective. Track KPIs to stay ahead.

  • Develop Your Team: Help recruit, train, and mentor employees, fostering growth and creating new opportunities for team development.

  • Resolve Challenges: Be the go-to problem solver for any personnel or operational issue, providing ethical and actionable solutions.

Qualifications

  • At least 2+ years of work experience as Supervisor/ Leader in a production/ manufacturing environment (Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the industry).
  • High School Diploma required - a Bachelor’s degree in business management or related discipline preferred.
  • Excellent proven leadership and change management skills.
  • Ability to quickly establish credibility to develop and maintain excellent business relations both internally and externally.
  • Mechanically inclined with excellent trouble shooting skills.
  • Strong abilities in planning, organizing, project management, and problem solving;
  • Able to work flexible schedules including nights and weekends when necessary.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Experience with of Microsoft Office tools and ERP systems;
  • Experience with Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing

This is a physically demanding position. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds (23kg). Manual dexterity, teamwork, hand-eye co-ordination and a combination of sitting, standing and walking required.
