About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Welder/Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will perform stainless-steel fabrication and MIG/TIG welding on light-gauge stainless-steel components. You’ll work from mechanical drawings, weld symbols, work instructions, and shop routings to produce high-quality parts that meet required specifications and tolerances.
This is a hands-on position for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, pays attention to detail, and works well in a team environment.
What You'll Do
- Perform MIG and TIG welding on thin-gauge stainless steel.
- Fabricate and assemble stainless-steel components according to engineering drawings and work instructions.
- Interpret mechanical blueprints, weld symbols, and shop routings.
- Produce sanitary welds that meet USDA requirements.
- Set up and operate conventional fabrication and finishing equipment.
- Grind, blend, blast, and polish welds using hand and power tools.
- Operate overhead cranes and forklifts to safely move materials.
- Support various welding functions and work areas based on production needs.
- Meet established quality, productivity, and workmanship standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and operating standards.
- Participate in cross-training and support other areas of the department as needed.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED or at least 2 years of experience in a similar welding/fabrication role.
- Experience with MIG and TIG welding, preferably on thin-gauge stainless steel.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and weld symbols.
- Experience producing sanitary welds is strongly preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to safely use hand tools and fabrication equipment.
- Ability to work within established production standards.
Preferred: Associate degree or technical training in Welding Technology.
