We have an opportunity for a Welder Production Technician (TIG) to join our Apopka, FL team. You will be welding and fabricate parts, components, tools and jigs to support our pool product lines. In this role, the Welder Production Technician will work to close tolerances, use power tools, hand tools, shop tools and measuring devices. Perform in-process and final quality checks to ensure work meets company quality standards

You will:

  • Perform precision TIG welding on stainless steel and other materials

  • Perform MIG welding

  • Must understand verbal and written instructions and demonstrate ability to work with engineering drawings

  • Use small hand tools, drill press, notcher, milling machines, band saw, chop-saw and lathe

  • Able to effectively function as part of a team

  • Perform a wide range of welding and metal fabrication operations

  • Ability to successfully cross train in required areas

  • Ability to successfully work to required productivity standards in required areas

  • Must demonstrate expertise with multiple welding techniques and materials

  • Fabrication and power tool experience preferred

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Must be able to work independently

Key Qualifications: 

  • High School Diploma

  • Good written and verbal communication skills

  • 3 years' experience in welding role

Compensation:

For this full-time position working at this location, the anticipated hourly base pay $23.00 per hour. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, work location, and other relevant business or organizational needs.

Shift-Hour’s 1st shift Mon- Thurs 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Physical Demands

Job requires the ability to move about within the facility in the facilitation of work teams, problem solving, and communication with employees and management. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawls. The employee is regularly required to lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally required to lift up to 50 pounds. The vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision and peripheral vision.

Work Environment

Job is performed indoors but may vary within specific departments assigned. Frequently involves working in areas with noise levels exceed 85 dBa requiring use of hearing protection. May involve working in extreme temperature and/or where outdoor activities are involved and may also involve limited contact with outside customers and suppliers as needed.
