About this role

We are hiring an experienced Workshop Supervisor – Heavy Vehicle / Heavy Equipment to oversee daily workshop operations, supervise technicians, manage repair workflow, and ensure timely completion of service, maintenance, diagnostics, and repair jobs. The ideal candidate must have strong technical knowledge of heavy commercial vehicles or heavy equipment, hands-on workshop supervision experience, and mandatory experience working with an authorized dealership. The role requires effective manpower allocation, technician performance monitoring, spare parts coordination, quality control, safety compliance, and close coordination with Service Managers for technical issues, warranty cases, and workshop productivity improvement. Key Responsibilities: Oversee daily workshop operations for heavy vehicles, commercial vehicles, or heavy equipment. Supervise technicians, mechanics, team leaders, and workshop staff to ensure smooth workflow. Plan and allocate jobs based on technician skills, workload, repair priority, and delivery timelines. Monitor repair progress to ensure jobs are completed on time with required quality and safety standards. Provide technical support during vehicle/equipment diagnostics, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance activities. Coordinate spare parts requirements, parts availability, additional repair approvals, and job card updates. Ensure efficient use of workshop tools, diagnostic equipment, machinery, consumables, and service resources. Monitor technician performance, productivity, efficiency, and quality of work through KPIs. Support productivity improvement, manpower utilization, and reduction of vehicle/equipment downtime. Coordinate with Service Managers on technical concerns, repeat repairs, warranty requirements, and customer complaints. Support vehicle and equipment inspections, Pre-Delivery Inspection activities, final quality checks, and delivery processes. Ensure proper documentation of job cards, repair reports, inspection sheets, warranty reports, and service records. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workshop environment in compliance with QHSEMS, company standards, and safety procedures. Ensure technicians follow standard repair procedures, manufacturer guidelines, dealership processes, and workshop discipline. Requirements Candidate Requirements: B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Automobile Engineering. Minimum 7–8 years of experience in heavy commercial vehicle or heavy equipment workshop operations. Previous experience as a Workshop Supervisor, Foreman, Team Lead, Workshop In-Charge, or Senior Technician is required. Authorized Dealership experience is mandatory. Strong technical knowledge of heavy vehicle / heavy equipment diagnostics, repair, service, and preventive maintenance. Experience in managing, guiding, and supervising a team of technicians and mechanics. Good knowledge of workshop workflow, job card management, repair estimation, service quality, and delivery timelines. Ability to coordinate spare parts, warranty cases, technical approvals, and customer/service requirements. Strong communication, leadership, planning, coordination, and problem-solving skills. Ability to use business communication tools, ERP software, service management systems, and workshop reporting tools. Knowledge of QHSEMS, workshop safety standards, and company compliance procedures.
