About this role

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century’s most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril’s family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.

The Threat Intelligence team is dedicated to safeguarding our company's personnel, assets, and operations by proactively identifying, assessing, and mitigating external physical safety threats. We operate a comprehensive intelligence program focused on real-time global monitoring, threat qualification, and escalation to ensure rapid response and protection. Our work spans from immediate risks like individual threats or natural disasters to near- and medium-term geopolitical events, utilizing advanced third-party SaaS tools such as Dataminr, Factal, and AlertMedia, alongside internal systems.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Utilize third-party tools like Dataminr and AlertMedia and internal platforms to detect and triage potential threats, such as natural disasters, civil unrest, geopolitical escalation, and direct threats to company assets.
  • Conduct in-depth research from publicly available sources to help qualify a broad range of emerging threats and provide context for escalation.
  • Draft and contribute to written intelligence products, including spot reports, alerts, and daily updates for review by team leadership.
  • Support the Lead Analyst by gathering information for more in-depth threat assessments on topics like activist targeting or regional instability.
  • Follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and escalation protocols to ensure threats are communicated to the appropriate stakeholders in a timely and effective manner.
  • Actively participate in team training and development activities to continuously improve analytical skills, tool proficiency, and knowledge of the global threat landscape.
  • Support cross-functional security partners by providing timely information and intelligence inputs as directed by the Lead Analyst.
  • Maintain situational awareness of global events and trends that could impact the company's personnel, facilities, or operations.
  • Conduct regular administrative tasks, including data input and analysis, database management, and recordkeeping.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be pursuing or have recently completed a bachelor’s or master's in Intelligence Studies, International Relations, Defense Studies, Security Studies, Journalism, or a related research-heavy field.
  • Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities; U.S. clearance eligibility may be required depending on program.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1+ years of job or internship experience in a threat intelligence, corporate security, think tank, GSOC, military, or related analytical role.
  • Exceptional research and writing skills with the ability to draft clear and concise reports. Knowledge of credible sourcing, analytical writing standards, and proofreading.
  • Familiarity with the intelligence cycle and fundamental analytical techniques.
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
  • Regional or language expertise, or experience living, studying, or working abroad.
  • Military experience, or an in-depth knowledge of the military/defense sector.
  • Understanding of corporate/physical security, duty-of-care standards, or physical risk management.
  • Experience working in a 24/7 operational environment like a GSOC, security command center, or newsroom.
  • A keen interest in geopolitics, defense, international security, or corporate security.
  • Experience with data visualization or advanced analytical tools.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., GOSI, CTIA).
