2027 Summer News Internship - Digital Editor

As a digital editor intern, you will produce copy, graphics, and video that engages audiences across social channels, including Instagram, X, Reddit, LinkedIn, Telegram, TikTok, etc. You will work to promote industry-leading news on legal, tax, and government topics, using tools including Canva, Photoshop, and Premiere. You must have prior training or experience in audience engagement.

• Hands-On Work Experience – Perform real work on deadline as a member of our team and walk away with social media posts to add to your portfolio. 

• Learn to work with the sense of urgency and accuracy needed in a modern newsroom.

You need to have: 

• Examples of social media posts you have created. Do not submit with your application. We will ask for them during initial screening. 

• A drive to produce great journalism. 

• Willingness to collaborate with our team of reporters and editors. 

• At the start of Summer 2027, have completed at least three years of an undergraduate program (i.e. a rising senior) with experience in audience engagement or digital journalism, have just graduated from your college or university with experience in audience engagement or digital journalism, or be enrolled in a graduate journalism program that focuses on audience engagement or digital journalism. 

• Prior training or experience in audience engagement and social video. 

• Ability to work within a team under deadline pressure.
