The team you’ll join

StepStone Venture Capital is one of the largest venture capital investment firms in the world, currently managing over $20 billion in assets across fund, direct and secondary investment strategies. The team has over 80+ employees* with offices in Baltimore, London, La Jolla and New York.  We actively invest in venture capital partnerships, expansion stage venture/growth equity direct investments and secondary market positions through our fund products. 

About the role

Summer Associates will be responsible for supporting the activities of the investment team in analyzing, monitoring, and researching both potential and existing fund and direct investments. Education is also a significant component of the program, as Summer Associates will gain insight into the broader venture capital ecosystem through data-driven research projects and hands-on analysis of prospective investments.

Key responsibilities

What we’re looking for

We are looking for individuals who have a passion for venture capital.  Most importantly, ideal candidates should display strong attention to detail, a high degree of professionalism, and a dedication to building and maintaining the firm’s existing relationships within the venture capital community.

Specific qualifications for the Associate position include:

  • Must be able to work legally in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future
  • Enrolled in a full-time MBA program

Salary: $100,000

The salary is an estimate of pay for this position.  Actual pay may vary depending on job-related factors that can include location, education, skill, and experience.  The salary does not include any benefits or other forms of possible compensation that may be available to employees.
