3D Joinery Designer

CADagency is delighted to be working with a well-established construction and joinery fit-out contractor based in Trafford Park. Following a recent senior departure, they are looking to appoint an experienced CAD professional to take ownership of joinery drawing output and support projects from early brief through to manufacture and installation. This is a senior, hands-on role suited to someone with strong joinery knowledge who is comfortable working autonomously and making technical decisions. You will be responsible for producing detailed, manufacture-ready joinery drawings, combining strong 2D detailing with essential 3D modelling capability. You will produce detailed joinery drawings from client and construction information through to manufacture, using AutoCAD alongside SolidWorks / Inventor. You will coordinate closely with project managers, workshop staff and site teams, resolving technical queries and discrepancies as projects progress. A key part of the role is ensuring drawings accurately reflect practical joinery processes, materials, tolerances and fixing details. You will support projects through manufacture and installation where required, while managing your own workload across multiple live jobs. To be suitable for this role, you will have:

• Strong AutoCAD experience producing joinery or fit-out drawings
• Proven 3D modelling experience using SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor
• A minimum of 5–7 years’ experience within joinery, fit-out or construction environments
• A good understanding of bench hand joinery processes and manufacturing constraints
• The ability to work independently and take ownership of technical output
