3rd Shift Tufting Modra Utility - (Commercial)

PURPOSE OF JOB:
The Modra Utility supports Modra operations by maintaining trolley flow, stripping and staging material, and preventing downtime through organized material movement and area management. This role ensures Modra cells and tufting machines remain continuously supplied, clear, and production ready.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Trolley Management: Strip completed trolleys, weigh waste yarn, and return them to designated staging areas.
• Move trolleys using a pallet jack safely and efficiently.
• Properly stage trolleys for tufting readiness according to established processes.
• Material Flow: Monitor trolley levels and proactively communicate shortages or bottlenecks to the supervisor or lead.
• Maintain proper staging layout to support safe and organized workflow.
• Safety & Compliance: Keep aisles, traffic lanes, and staging zones clear and compliant with safety standards.
• Report damaged trolleys, quality concerns, or safety issues immediately.
• Perform 5S activities in Modra areas to maintain cleanliness and organization.
• Team Support: Support Tufting operators during high-volume periods once stripping and movement tasks are complete.
• Assist with changeovers and order transitions as directed.

NEEDED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Equipment Operation: Ability to safely operate a pallet jack and maneuver trolleys in confined spaces.
• Work Ethic: Strong sense of urgency with solid situational and workflow awareness.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while meeting production demands.
• Strong attendance record and demonstrated reliability.
• Communication: Effective communication skills with operators, leads, and supervisors.
• Organization: Good organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
• Availability: Flexibility to work any assigned shift, including overtime as needed.
• Physical Requirements: Physically capable of pushing, pulling, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Teamwork: Team-oriented mindset focused on supporting overall plant performance.
