A330 Flight Simulator Instructor
About this role
Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-flight and post-flight simulator briefings in a thorough, professional manner and in accordance with CAE standards.
- Deliver training sessions in accordance with CAE, aircraft manufacturer, and customer Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Provide simulator flight instruction supporting the issuance of licenses, type ratings, and certifications.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive client training records to measure progress against established competency standards and support seamless instructor handovers.
- Recommend remedial training when a client is not meeting required training progress standards.
- Record simulator utilization and discrepancies in accordance with established procedures.
- Monitor the validity of instructional qualifications to maintain eligibility to deliver training in accordance with regulatory and contractual requirements.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in the development of training curricula and courseware, as required.
- Complete training for examiner responsibilities when assigned by the Head of Training.
- Act as an invigilator during examinations, as required.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant aviation training, flight instruction, or related experience.
- Successful completion of all Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) written examinations.
- Meet the minimum experience requirements established by the applicable regulatory authority for simulator instructor qualification.
- Hold, or have previously held, a professional pilot license.
- Working knowledge of applicable aviation regulations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain a customer-focused approach in a dynamic training environment.
- Quality-oriented mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and requirements.
- Fluency in English.
