FVI School of Nursing & Technology is seeking a dedicated and student-focused Academic Advisor to join our team. In this role, you will serve as a trusted resource for students throughout their educational journey, helping them navigate academic challenges, stay on track toward graduation, and achieve their career aspirations.

What You'll Do
- Provide academic advising and support to a caseload of students.
- Monitor student attendance, academic progress, and retention indicators.
- Conduct regular outreach to students through phone calls, text messages, emails, and meetings.
- Assist students in developing academic success plans and overcoming barriers to completion.
- Collaborate with faculty, admissions, financial aid, and student services teams to support student success.
- Maintain accurate student records and document advising interactions.
- Counsel students regarding academic policies, procedures, and graduation requirements.
- Identify at-risk students and implement intervention strategies.
- Support orientation, registration, and student engagement initiatives.
- Foster a positive, encouraging, and student-centered environment.
Requirements
What We're Looking For
- Associate's degree required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience in academic advising, student services, education, customer service, case management, admissions, or a related field.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working with diverse student populations.
- Bilingual English/Spanish required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and student information systems.
