What you'll do

  • Own the client relationship from the sales handover. Run the kick-off call and the kick-off narrative, land the success criteria and adoption targets with the client, and stay the client's first call from that day on.
  • Own renewals end to end. Run 90/60/30-day renewal cadences, maintain account health scores, build and activate save plans before at-risk accounts become problems, keep the forecast honest, and own the commercial paper — quotes, renewal contracts, and negotiation within delegated authority.
  • Own expansion. Run expansion discovery across the upgrade paths — Pulse to IQ, Daton to IQ, IQ Essentials to IQ Enterprise, usage-based upsell — spot the openings that client goals and competitor displacements create, and carry those deals to close.
  • Own account-level CSAT and NPS — with the levers to back them. Quarterback escalations: convene and drive cross-functional resolution to closure, while build quality stays with the Forward Deployed Engineer. During client UAT, hold the scope line — push back on creep, and run the workshops and demos that get users over the line.
  • Drive adoption and value realization as the renewal engine. Run trainings, articulate the why, what, and how of IQ modules and their value to each stakeholder, hold adoption reviews, introduce IQ to new stakeholders in the account, and make monthly and quarterly business reviews substantive commercial and strategic engagements — not status updates.
  • Run the advocacy engine. Enroll customers into Saras’ Customer Advocacy Program, and drive the referrals, testimonials, and business value discovery calls that turn satisfied clients into your best pipeline.
  • Feed the voice of the customer into the roadmap. Groom product asks across marketing, finance, customer, and supply-chain functions with the Product Manager, and pitch new features back into your accounts.
  • Run your book's operating rhythm. Implementation tracker, red-account updates, invoicing inputs — and keep Account Health current (and green): CSAT scores, expansion signals, renewal dates, churn reasons — logged by you, proactively.

What they're looking for

  • 6–8 years in Account Management or Customer Success at a B2B SaaS or analytics company — with commercial ownership alongside relationship ownership.
  • A portfolio you grew, not just maintained — specific renewal and expansion outcomes you personally ran and closed.
  • CSAT or NPS in your scorecard alongside revenue metrics — you have owned client satisfaction as a number, not just a feeling.
  • Ecommerce operating fluency: you understand what a DTC CFO wrestles with on channel margins and why a CMO is frustrated by attribution, and you don't need a primer on CAC, LTV, or repeat rates.
  • Working literacy in the modern data stack — warehouse, BI, pipelines — enough to lead value conversations on Daton, Pulse, and IQ unaided.
  • The ability to hold a commercial conversation — pricing, contract structure, ROI framing — directly with VP and C-suite buyers.

Nice to have

  • HubSpot discipline that makes RevOps love you — health scores, pipeline hygiene, and forecasts they can trust.
  • Experience managing new-client onboarding as a relationship owner — you know what a successful first ninety days looks like even when you are not doing the technical work.
  • Hands-on comfort using AI tools like Claude to automate your own reporting and account prep.

Strategic Account Manager
You'll own a tiered portfolio of client accounts as their relationship and commercial owner — accountable for making clients successful with Saras as measured by their satisfaction (CSAT/NPS), renewals (GRR%), and expansions (NER) that follow when clients genuinely succeed.
About Saras Analytics
Saras Analytics is an AI and data analytics firm built for ecommerce and omnichannel brands. We help fast-growing SMBs and mid-market brands turn disconnected, messy data into decisions — covering ingestion, transformation, and consumption, backed by our own products (Daton and Saras IQ) as the data infrastructure in every engagement.
Why Now
Saras is profitable and bootstrapped. We run flat: talent and good ideas move fast here regardless of tenure or title. What makes Saras different isn't the AI label — it's that our AI actually works: a decade of ecommerce depth means our products carry the context, the KPI definitions, and the business intelligence that generic tools don't have, and our domain expertise and our products reinforce each other in a flywheel. The clients in your portfolio chose Saras because the value was real. A Strategic Account Manager joining now owns making them feel that value — from the day they onboard to the day they expand.
The Role
You'll own a tiered portfolio of client accounts as their relationship owner from the day the sales handover lands, reporting to the Head of Account Management. This is not a delivery role: you carry no build work and no delivery team — your job is the client's success and the commercial outcomes that follow. On every account you work alongside a Forward Deployed Engineer and a Product Manager, and your accountabilities are three: client satisfaction, revenue, and expansion.
The Bar
Revenue — retention and expansion across your portfolio — is the top priority for this role, and client satisfaction is how you get there: accounts that genuinely succeed renew and expand as a natural consequence. Account-level CSAT and NPS sit on your scorecard alongside the revenue numbers, not as secondary goals but as how you know you are doing the job right. The lanes are explicit: you own the relationship and the commercial outcomes end to end; the Forward Deployed Engineer owns the solution and the build; the Product Manager owns product onboarding, enablement, and roadmap.
What You'll Own
  1. Own the client relationship from the sales handover. Run the kick-off call and the kick-off narrative, land the success criteria and adoption targets with the client, and stay the client's first call from that day on.
  2. Own renewals end to end. Run 90/60/30-day renewal cadences, maintain account health scores, build and activate save plans before at-risk accounts become problems, keep the forecast honest, and own the commercial paper — quotes, renewal contracts, and negotiation within delegated authority.
  3. Own expansion. Run expansion discovery across the upgrade paths — Pulse to IQ, Daton to IQ, IQ Essentials to IQ Enterprise, usage-based upsell — spot the openings that client goals and competitor displacements create, and carry those deals to close.
  4. Own account-level CSAT and NPS — with the levers to back them. Quarterback escalations: convene and drive cross-functional resolution to closure, while build quality stays with the Forward Deployed Engineer. During client UAT, hold the scope line — push back on creep, and run the workshops and demos that get users over the line.
  5. Drive adoption and value realization as the renewal engine. Run trainings, articulate the why, what, and how of IQ modules and their value to each stakeholder, hold adoption reviews, introduce IQ to new stakeholders in the account, and make monthly and quarterly business reviews substantive commercial and strategic engagements — not status updates.
  6. Run the advocacy engine. Enroll customers into Saras’ Customer Advocacy Program, and drive the referrals, testimonials, and business value discovery calls that turn satisfied clients into your best pipeline.
  7. Feed the voice of the customer into the roadmap. Groom product asks across marketing, finance, customer, and supply-chain functions with the Product Manager, and pitch new features back into your accounts.
  8. Run your book's operating rhythm. Implementation tracker, red-account updates, invoicing inputs — and keep Account Health current (and green): CSAT scores, expansion signals, renewal dates, churn reasons — logged by you, proactively.
What Winning Looks Like
First 90 days: you know your book and its health scores, you've run your first kick-off and your first business reviews, and your renewal calendar is built with no surprises left in it.
Steady state: renewals land predictably, you've closed expansion on real value, your accounts are reference-able — and referring — and account-level CSAT is strong quarter after quarter.
Who Thrives Here
Any of these backgrounds can get you in the room.
It's an even stronger fit if you also bring:
  • HubSpot discipline that makes RevOps love you — health scores, pipeline hygiene, and forecasts they can trust.
  • Experience managing new-client onboarding as a relationship owner — you know what a successful first ninety days looks like even when you are not doing the technical work.
  • Hands-on comfort using AI tools like Claude to automate your own reporting and account prep.
