Actona Lithuania - Factory Director

Our client - Actona Lithuania UAB, part of the international Actona Group, is one of Lithuania's leading upholstered furniture manufacturers. With production facilities in Kaunas and Alytus, the company produces more than 3,500 sofas and chairs every week, serving customers across global markets.

 

The company is currently seeking an experienced and ambitious Factory Director to lead and further develop its production organization.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the production strategy in alignment with business objectives and long-term growth plans.
• Lead Production, Project Management, Maintenance & Facilities, Occupational Health & Safety, and Fire Safety functions, ensuring performance, accountability, and collaboration across the organization.
• Act as the primary bridge between Manufacturing and other business functions, ensuring strong collaboration and alignment across the organization.
• Drive cross-functional cooperation between Production, Supply Chain Planning, Product Development, Procurement, Quality, and other stakeholders to support operational and business objectives.
• Ensure that new products, process changes, and business initiatives are effectively implemented within Manufacturing through proactive planning and close cross-functional cooperation.
• Drive sustainable improvements in productivity, efficiency, quality, delivery performance, and cost competitiveness.
• Define, monitor, and drive key performance indicators (KPIs), ensuring data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
• Identify and implement initiatives that optimize production processes, resource utilization, and overall operational performance.
• Lead strategic projects and business improvement initiatives within the areas of responsibility.
• Lead, support, and develop managers across the areas of responsibility, ensuring strong performance and accountability.
• Plan and manage departmental budgets, ensuring efficient allocation and utilization of resources.
• Promote and strengthen the company's values and organizational culture.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, transparency, ownership, and shared accountability across departments.

To Succeed in This Role, You Will Need

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with at least 3 years of experience in a senior leadership role, managing leaders and multiple production-related functions.
• Proven experience leading operations in a large-scale manufacturing organization.
• A strong track record of improving productivity, efficiency, quality, and overall operational performance.
• Experience leading organizational change, process improvement, and business transformation initiatives.
• Strong leadership and people development capabilities, with the ability to build and develop high-performing teams.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with a data-driven approach.
• Knowledge and practical experience in project, process, and change management.
• Fluent English and Lithuanian language skills, both written and spoken.
• A university degree in Engineering, Technology, Manufacturing Management, or another relevant field.
