Adjunct, Philosophy

Widener University’s College of Arts & Sciences is currently seeking highly qualified adjunct faculty to teach Philosophy courses. Our immediate needs are for Business Ethics and Introductory Logic.

Part-time adjunct faculty may instruct 1 to 3 courses each semester on an “as needed” basis. Courses available for adjunct staffing are offered during the day. Adjunct faculty are expected to teach the specified course(s); prepare course materials, be available to meet with students during regularly scheduled office hours, and provide support and guidance to students.

Required qualifications include a minimum of a Master’s Degree in Philosophy or related field. Preference will be given to candidates who have an ABD or PhD in Philosophy, previous teaching experience, and willingness to be flexible in class scheduling.
