QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Minimum High School Diploma with a minimum of 3 years’ experience required.
  2. Licensure: None
  3. Skills/Competencies:
    • Strong clinical skills including expertise in systemic family therapy, crisis intervention, family education, behavioral interventions, and substance abuse therapy.
    • Core Expertise: Possesses skill, knowledge and abilities to perform the essential duties of their role; keeps knowledge up to date.
    • Cultural Competency: Demonstrates awareness, sensitivity and skills in working professionally with diverse individuals, groups and communities who represent various cultural and personal background and characteristics.
    • Interpersonal Communication: Communicates clearly using verbal, nonverbal, and written skills in a professional context; demonstrates clear understanding and use of professional language.
    • Professional & Ethical Conduct: Adheres to professional values such as honesty, personal responsibility, and accountability; applies ethical concepts within scope of work and adheres to Agency policies and procedures.
    • Collaboration & Teamwork: Functions effectively as a member of a professional team that includes employees, clients and family members.
    • Problem-Solving & Decision-Making: Recognizes problems and responds appropriately; gathers information and sorts through it to identify and address root cause issues; makes timely decisions.
  4. Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in Patient Care/Human Services/Mental Health.
  5. Experience working with children, adolescents and their families.

JOB SUMMARY: The Admissions Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Bellefaire JCB's CME Intake Department, which ensures the all referrals for Care Coordination through the OhioRISE Initiative are connected to services with Wingspan’s CME. The Admissions Coordinator is supervised by the Director of Lorain CME.

JOB SUMMARY:
The Admissions Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Bellefaire JCB's CME Intake Department, which ensures the all referrals for Care Coordination through the OhioRISE Initiative are connected to services with Wingspan’s CME. The Admissions Coordinator is supervised by the Director of Lorain CME.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
  1. Create a warm, welcoming, helpful and professional atmosphere in the office for all clients and staff.
  2. Responsible for creating and maintaining client files in accordance with licensing and accreditation rules. This includes opening new clients in the electronic health record and updating the system when changes of status occur to ensure consistency of database information in relation to individual client record.
  3. Responsible for initial outreach to clients/families to engage in Care Coordination Services.
  4. Document in client chart all communication and outreach efforts to engage in services.
  5. Assure that standards/regulations set by accrediting and/or licensing bodies are maintained by Intake staff.
  6. Assign/Schedule caseload to Intake Department staff and maintain a case load of high priority/special circumstances cases.
  7. Represent the Agency in the development or maintenance of relationships with other organizations including sister agencies, public agencies, managed care companies, insurance companies, funders and referral sources.
  8. Responsible special projects as assigned.
OTHER DUTIES:
  1. Attend scheduled staff meetings, supervision, and on-going training.
  2. All required trainings, certifications and licensure must be kept current in accordance with applicable licensing and accreditation regulations and standards.
  3. Contribute to the development and maintenance of the clinical record through the timely completion of assigned documentation in accordance with applicable licensing and accreditation regulations and standards.
  4. Respect the privacy of clients and hold in confidence all information obtained during the client's treatment. All client-related documents should be handled in accordance with Agency guidelines on confidential material.
  5. Maintain high standards of ethical and professional conduct and adhere to Agency policies and procedures.
  6. Other duties as assigned by management.
