Adult Social Worker - Approved Mental Health Professional/ Emergency Duty Team

Liquid Personnel is recruiting an experienced Adult Social Worker – Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) / Emergency Duty Team for its client's team based in Gateshead. This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly supportive service providing critical out-of-hours mental health interventions and ensuring individuals experiencing mental health crises receive timely, lawful, and person-centred support.

Working as part of the Emergency Duty Team, you will play a key role in responding to urgent referrals, undertaking Mental Health Act assessments, and collaborating closely with partner agencies including police, hospitals, and Crisis Resolution Home Treatment Teams (CRHT). This role offers a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference during complex and high-risk situations while working within a well-established multidisciplinary environment.

Qualifications and Experience Required

• Qualified Social Worker with a recognised Social Work qualification.
• Social Work England registration.
• Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) qualification.
• Experience undertaking Mental Health Act assessments.
• Strong knowledge of mental health legislation and safeguarding practices.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and make sound professional decisions in crisis situations.
