  • Write, edit and curate AEO-aligned content across Saint Joseph's vast digital footprint, including the sju.edu website, institutional subsites, go.sju.edu landing pages, paid content marketing pieces and other digital vehicles used to drive enrollment and revenue.
  • Own and manage updates for the sju.edu homepage and newsroom with topical and engaging content that boosts reputation and brand.
  • Alongside Sr. Director of Brand Storytelling and Director of Web Experience, lead efforts to continually enhance website content and consistency, design, usability and navigation; to establish and maintain web standards; to employ best practices in web – in service of enhancing reputation, enrollment and engagement.
  • Ensure web content managed in Drupal CMS is not only high-quality, but discoverable, measurable and continuously improving by applying SEO and GEO best practices and working alongside the University web team to conduct keyword research and content gap analyses.
  • In partnership with the Sr. Directors of Brand Storytelling and Growth Marketing, work to align web content with search strategy, monitor and report on web content performance (traffic, engagement, conversions), translate performance data into clear insights and optimization recommendations and continuously refine web content based on performance trends.
  • Work cross-functionally with other departments on content assets (images, program information, marketing information, video, social posts, etc.) and coordinate the production and optimization of content.
  • Manage a bi-annual web content update calendar to ensure University sites are staying current, both visually and editorially.
  • Steward Saint Joseph's brand to maintain the tone, style, identity, across the website including image/content optimization.
  • Leverage analytics tools (e.g., SiteImprove, Search Console, Google Analytics, Ahrefs, Tag Manager) to identify technical and content issues and suggest shifts and changes.
  • Manage University's Announcements platform and its companion automated weekly digest e-newsletter.
  • Support storytelling for other channels, including social media, e-newsletters and email, University Report, etc.
  • Contribute to the overall success of the Office of Marketing and Communications and Saint Joseph's University by performing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Position Summary and Qualifications:

The AEO/SEO Writer is an integral member of the Marketing and Communications storytelling team and will be responsible for planning, creating, editing, and publishing compelling and consistent content across sju.edu websites.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Brand Storytelling, this position will focus on the development of high-quality, optimized content across all University web pages, including the University newsroom, the homepage, departmental sites, enrollment-focused Slate pages, content marketing pieces, program pages and more. This includes regularly auditing and assessing all web content to ensure consistent AEO alignment. This individual will also serve as a web content strategist, responsible for translating performance data into actionable insights and adapting messaging for SEO and GEO best practices. 

The AEO/SEO Writer is a strong writer and editor, a strategic thinker and a proactive partner — someone who doesn’t just execute content, but understands how content drives enrollment, engagement and brand positioning.

As a strong project manager, the AEO/SEO Writer works closely with the marcomm web team, has a keen eye for detail and will collaborate with subject matter experts cross-functionally to ensure web content is relevant, accurate, consistent and optimized. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Pay Transparancy:
