What you'll do
- Install, repair, and maintain overhead electrical power lines, poles, transformers, and other related equipment.
- Perform work from heights on utility poles, aerial lifts, and other elevated structures, adhering to strict safety protocols.
- String and sag wire, install crossarms, insulators, and other line hardware.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical system malfunctions and perform necessary repairs.
- Work with various types of conductors, including copper, aluminum, and fiber optic cables.
- Operate heavy equipment such as bucket trucks, digger derricks, and other utility vehicles.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including OSHA regulations and industry best practices.
- Participate in emergency call-out rotations and respond to power outages as needed.
- Mentor and train less experienced crew members.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and the public.

- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an Aerial Lineman.
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and work orders.
- Extensive knowledge of electrical theory, safety practices, and utility construction standards.
- Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
- Physically capable of lifting heavy objects, climbing poles, and performing strenuous manual labor.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to travel and work extended hours as required.
Nice to have
- OSHA 10 or 30-hour certification preferred.
- First Aid and CPR certification preferred.
