  • Qualifies and advances sales opportunities using the Microsoft Customer Engagement Methodology (MCEM), applying established sales frameworks, AI-powered insights, and best practices to drive customer outcomes.
  • Collaborates across the Account Team Unit (ATU), Customer Success Unit (CSU), Global Partner Solutions (GPS), Industry Solutions Delivery (ISD), and partner ecosystem to orchestrate opportunities throughout the sales lifecycle.

Overview

Join Microsoft Canada's AI Business Process (AIBP) Specialist team and help reinvent how Canada's leading organizations run. As a Business Applications Specialist covering an Western Canada Multi-Industry territory — spanning financial services, manufacturing, retail and more — you'll drive end-to-end business transformation, bringing CRM, ERP and low-code solutions to the leaders reimagining how their businesses operate and serve their customers. You'll work side by side with the Account Team and Customer Success team across the full sales cycle, from territory and account planning through business case, evaluation and negotiation to close, building trusted relationships with CxOs and business decision makers while orchestrating across partners and systems integrators to deliver the One Microsoft narrative. This is a high-impact role with real autonomy and executive visibility, supported by a dedicated specialist community and by teammates who want you to win. Responsibilities

Customer Engagement

  • Partners across Microsoft teams to design and position AI- and cloud-powered solutions that support customer transformation initiatives.
  • Contributes to territory planning and execution by identifying gaps, driving market engagement, and aligning sales motions to strategic priorities.
  • Evaluates industry trends, customer challenges, and competitive dynamics to inform business decisions and strengthen Microsoft's market position.
  • Drives cross-functional collaboration to deliver integrated customer solutions that advance business outcomes and accelerate innovation.

Trusted Advisor & Customer Success

  • Serves as a trusted advisor to customer stakeholders by connecting business priorities with Microsoft AI, Security, and Cloud solutions.
  • Leads customer conversations to identify, prioritize, and accelerate opportunities that deliver measurable business value.
  • Aligns customer transformation strategies with Microsoft capabilities to enable successful adoption, realization, and expansion of solutions.

Solution Area Specialists IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across Canada is CAD $103,500 - CAD $170,700 per year.
