  • Build, maintain, and operate Ground Support Equipment (GSE), test rigs, fixtures, and handling equipment.
  • Manufacture prototypes, tooling, and support equipment using workshop and rapid prototyping equipment.
  • Troubleshoot assembly and test issues and support corrective actions.
  • Maintain hardware traceability and complete manufacturing and test documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with ESD, FOD, cleanroom, and safety requirements.
  • Support customer integration activities and travel to test facilities when required.

About the role

Turning components into flight-ready hardware requires precision, discipline, and flawless execution.

As AIT Technician - Solar Arrays (f/m/d), you will support the assembly, integration, testing, and qualification of Dcubed's solar array products. From incoming inspection and mechanism assembly to electrical testing, deployment testing, and environmental qualification campaigns, you will play a key role in ensuring that flight hardware is built, tested, documented, and delivered to the highest standards.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys building hardware, solving practical problems, and taking pride in quality of work.

Responsibilities

Experience & Qualifications

  • Technical apprenticeship, vocational qualification, technician certification, or equivalent practical experience in aerospace, mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, or related fields.

  • 5+ years of experience in assembly, integration, testing, manufacturing, or prototype development.

  • Experience working with complex mechanical, electrical, or electromechanical systems.

Technical Skills

  • Hands-on experience assembling and testing mechanical and electromechanical systems.

  • Ability to read and follow engineering drawings, assembly procedures, test procedures, and technical documentation.

  • Experience using workshop equipment and fabrication tools.

  • Familiarity with machining, milling, drilling, laser cutting, 3D printing, or prototype manufacturing techniques.

  • Experience using electrical and mechanical test equipment.

  • Familiarity with cleanroom operations, ESD/FOD control, and controlled manufacturing environments.

  • Understanding of spacecraft hardware, mechanisms, or deployable systems is an advantage.

Personal Attributes
