Job Title

All Employee Communications Leader

Job Description

In this role you will evolve all-employee communications into an employee experience: turning our enterprise priorities into clear stories, enabling leaders to create dialogue, and helping every colleague understand the part they play here at Philips. The role is based in Amsterdam.

Please note: Along with your application, it is mandatory to submit a cover letter detailing how this role aligns with your career aspirations and how it supports your future professional growth.

Your role:

  • Set and deliver the global all-employee communications strategy and annual plan, aligned to Philips’ enterprise priorities, business performance, culture and growth agenda.

  • Create a distinctive, human and inclusive employee narrative that makes strategy and change meaningful across diverse roles, markets, languages, cultures and access needs.

  • Lead the end-to-end planning and delivery of the company’s largest employee moments and campaigns, including enterprise-wide priorities, major change and engagement campaigns.

  • Be an exceptional writer and editor, setting the standard for clear, compelling and audience-led communication across leader messaging, enterprise narratives, campaigns and sensitive communications.

  • Be a trusted senior adviser to senior functional and business leaders, helping them communicate with clarity, authenticity and impact.

  • Lead, coach and develop the All-Employee Communications team creating clear priorities, high standards, strong talent and a culture of ownership, curiosity and constructive challenge.

  • Own the editorial and campaign ecosystem: establish the right mix of leader-led, digital, live and local communication to reach and engage colleagues wherever they work.

  • Build a scalable “global with local relevance” model: provide governance, toolkits, content libraries and enablement that give site and regional leaders the confidence to deliver consistent, relevant communications without unnecessary central dependency.

  • Own Philips’ employee audience strategy, building a deep understanding of the needs, realities and communication preferences of our diverse colleague population. Use employee insight, segmentation, listening and channel data to shape communication priorities, narratives and experiences that are relevant, inclusive and effective for different audiences.

  • Translate insight into action: use data and feedback to move beyond communication outputs to demonstrable understanding, engagement and behaviour change, continuously improving content, channels, campaigns and investment decisions.

  • Champion the responsible use of AI and emerging communication technology to build a more scalable, self-service communications model. Enable teams, leaders, sites and regions with smarter tools, content libraries, guidance and workflows that improve creativity, relevance, speed and consistency - while preserving editorial judgement, trust and human connection.

  • Drive disciplined program and project management across a complex portfolio, defining objectives, governance, milestones, risks, resourcing and outcomes; manage external partners and budgets where needed.

  • Work in close partnership with the wider Communications and Brand teams, including our content and channels, Business Partners and Regional Communications teams to support the creation of one coherent employee communications experience and clear decision rights.

You're the right fit if:

  • You have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Business or a related field, with typically 10+ years’ relevant global communications experience, including senior internal or employee communications leadership.

  • You are an exceptional writer and editor with a high bar for clarity, relevance and quality. You can create and edit communication that is strategically sharp, human and actionable - from enterprise narratives, campaigns and leadership messages.

  • You have led high-performing teams and complex, multi-market communications program in a large, matrixed organization; experience in healthcare, technology, manufacturing or another regulated environment is valued.

  • You have an exceptional ability to translate complex strategy, business performance and transformation into compelling stories and practical action for varied audiences.

  • You are confident and credible with senior leaders, with strong executive presence, sound judgement and the ability to advise, influence and challenge constructively.

  • You understand how to build communications around audience needs and business outcomes, using insight, data and experimentation to improve impact.

  • You are creatively ambitious and digitally fluent, with practical experience of, or a strong appetite for, responsible AI-enabled communications and new ways of working.

  • You are an inclusive and inspiring leader who develops others, builds partnerships across cultures and keeps the bar high for craft, accountability and collaboration.

  • You communicate fluently (Close to native fluency) in English, verbally and in writing.
