What you'll do

  • Build and own reporting for New Builds, Consolidations, and Relocations by first understanding underlying data structures and source tables, extracting required data (SQL/Databricks), defining key cuts/segmentations, and developing meaningful KPIs and insights for governance and finance reporting.
  • Develop and maintain SQL queries and Python-based workflows to support recurring reporting, ad-hoc analysis, and automated validation/reconciliation routines.
  • Define, calculate, and maintain standardized performance and execution metrics (e.g., plan vs actual milestone attainment, cycle-time/aging, slippage indicators, exception flags) to support governance and forecast discussions.
  • Perform reconciliations across systems (program tools vs finance/warehouse datasets); investigate and explain variances, identify root causes, and track issues through resolution with partner teams.
  • Support Finance partners by translating business questions into clear analytical requirements and producing accurate, explainable outputs aligned to finance definitions and controls.
  • Provide insight-led commentary for leadership forums: highlight key movements, risks, bottlenecks, and actions needed, supported by data.
  • Contribute to dashboards and visualization deliverables where needed (e.g., ThoughtSpot/Power BI/Tableau) and drive process improvements to reduce manual effort and improve refresh reliability.
  • Apply data controls and governance standards, including documentation, validation checks, lineage clarity, and change traceability.

What they're looking for

  • ~2–4 years of experience in financial analysis, reporting, business intelligence, or an analytical finance support role.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL (complex joins, CTEs, aggregations, window functions) with ability to extract directly from data warehouse/Databricks environments.
  • Working proficiency in Python for data transformation, reconciliation, and analytical workflows.
  • Demonstrated experience working with complex datasets across multiple systems and resolving inconsistencies in definitions and outputs.
  • Ability to structure and communicate analysis clearly to finance and non-technical stakeholders (clear narrative, drivers, and implications).
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills for analysis and validation.
  • Experience with one or more Intelligent Automation tools (preferred).
  • Exposure to finance concepts such as P&L, cost drivers, allocations, cost center structures, and reporting hierarchies; experience supporting governance routines is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Full description from employer

Our Consumer & Community Banking division serves our Chase customers through a range of financial services, including personal banking, credit cards, mortgages, auto financing, investment advice, small business loans and payment processing. We’re proud to lead the U.S. in credit card sales and deposit growth and have the most-used digital solutions – all while ranking first in customer satisfaction.

As a Financial Analyst within the Consumer Banking team in Bengaluru, you will support reporting and analytics for Branch Network Transformation initiatives—specifically New Builds, Branch Consolidations, and Branch Relocations. This role goes beyond traditional MIS reporting: you will directly extract data from the data warehouse using SQL, reconcile across sources, and translate operational and financial signals into decision-ready insights for Finance and senior stakeholders. You will partner with Finance and Program teams to standardize definitions, improve data integrity, and enable consistent governance reporting across the transformation portfolio.
