Analyst, System and infrastructure operations, maintenance and development

As Guidewire Business Systems Analyst (BSA), you’ll join a team contributing to a strategic transformation program in property and casualty insurance. You’ll help to further develop Guidewire solutions by acting as a link between the business and technology teams. You’ll work closely with business partners, developers, architects and quality specialists to define, document and implement solutions that meet the organization’s needs. You’ll help define requirements and work on process analysis and continuous improvement for delivery practices and solutions. You’ll play an active role in implementing Guidewire initiatives in an Agile environment, ensuring alignment between business needs, proposed solutions and organizational objectives.f business and the organization. Coordination is critical. You interact with many stakeholders working in a wide range of fields. You lead and serve as a systems specialist for your unit, clients and practitioners. More specifically, you will be required to:

• Act as an intermediary between business teams and technology teams to gather, analyze and document business and functional needs
• Be involved in analyzing business processes and recommend solutions aimed at improving operational efficiency and business value
• Translate business needs into user stories, business rules, functional specifications and other deliverables as required to implement solutions
• Prepare impact analyses, process diagrams and functional documentation to support the design and delivery of solutions
• Work with developers, quality specialists, architects and business partners throughout the delivery cycle to ensure a common understanding of needs and solutions
• Help analyze, design, plan and implement Guidewire solutions
• Help define test cases and support functional validation and user acceptance activities
• Follow up on incidents, change requests and functional issues with relevant teams
• Help resolve production issues and provide user support when required
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to the continuous improvement of delivery processes, practices and methods.

What you bring to the table

• Bachelor's degree business administration, IT, information systems or in a related field
• A minimum of six years of relevant experience in business analysis or functional analysis, including three years as a business systems analyst (BSA) and three years with the Guidewire platform
• Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
• Property and casualty insurance experience
• Experience in collecting, analyzing and documenting business and functional requirements
• Experience in drafting user stories, functional specifications, business rules and impact analyses
• Experience in delivering projects in Agile mode and in the preparation and execution of functional and user acceptance tests
• Guidewire Certified Ace certification
• Knowledge of French is required
• Advanced proficiency of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients
• Advanced knowledge of application integration concepts and REST/SOAP, XML and JSON technologies
• Advanced knowledge of business processes in property and casualty insurance
• Knowledge of collaboration and work management tools, including Jira, Confluence, Visio, and the Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of underwriting, billing, and claims processes in the property and casualty insurance industry
