Animal Transport Driver (Flexible Working Hours)

Pet Taxi Drivers are responsible for transporting pets in our care. They may transport between centers, to the vet for care, or to and from home. Our drivers ensure the safety of the pets' transport, are great with time management, and work well with animals. This position allows you to have fun while paying attention to detail.

REPORTS TO: General Manager

PAY: $13.00 - $16.00/hour DOE.

CORE RESPONSIBILITES (include but are not limited to): 

• Picking up and delivering customers’ pets 

• Interact with customers in a professional and warm manner 

• Transporting our animals to various destinations 

• Taking the fastest and safest route to and from our clients' homes 

• Helping to load and unload the vehicle 

• Keeping your vehicle clean and in good working order (no one wants to get into a broken, untidy taxi)  

 

REQUIREMENTS: 

Expertise & Experience: 

• Must be a pet fanatic – pets are part of our family! 

• Clean driving record is required 

• Professional animal care experience is a plus 

• Displays a professional manner at all times 

• Reliability is a very important trait for this role 

• Teamwork orientated 

• Strong time management skills 

 

Physical: 

• Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed. 

• Must frequently lift 40+ pounds. 

• Must be able to be on feet for the duration of your shift.  

• Must be able to stand, walk and climb stairs frequently. 

• Must be able to handle dogs on leashes. 

• Must be able to work in an environment with exposure to disinfectant/sanitation chemicals, animal dander and excretions. 
• Other duties as assigned

 

 

This position is Monday-Friday 8am-5pm; hours vary dependent on shuttle needs. Animal Transport Driver is responsible for safely retrieving and delivering pets to and from their homes for boarding services.
