Job Description

Role Purpose

The purpose of this role is to lead DevOps team to facilitate better coordination among operations, development and testing functions by automating and streamlining the integration and deployment processes

Title: Ansible with Python

Location: Bengaluru,pune and Hyderabad

Total years of experience: 6 years to 10 years

Core technical capability (Must Have)

• Strong hands-on experience with deployment and automation tools, including Ansible, G3, and Azure (e.g., deploying, configuring, troubleshooting, and optimizing release flows).
• Proven ability to design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines end-to-end (build, test, security checks, approvals, deployments, rollback strategies).
• Advanced scripting capability with PowerShell (writing reusable, modular scripts; error handling; logging; integration with APIs and toolchains).

2) Experience level

• Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience in a developer / DevOps / automation-focused role, with evidence of delivery in production environments.

3) Delivery, requirements, and automation outcomes

• Demonstrated experience engaging with customers/stakeholders, translating requirements into practical technical solutions.
• Ability to identify opportunities for automation, propose solution options, and deliver measurable improvements (speed, reliability, reduced manual effort, quality).

4) Ways of working / project management

• Strong understanding of project delivery disciplines (planning, prioritisation, dependencies, risk/issue management, change control).
• Confident using Jira (backlog management, user stories, workflow) and Confluence (technical documentation, runbooks, decisions, knowledge sharing).

5) Communication & collaboration

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to explain technical topics clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Produces clear documentation and collaborates effectively across teams (developers, testers, platform teams, operations, product/PM).

6) AI awareness (increasing priority)

• Understanding of AI concepts and commonly used tools (e.g., using AI-assisted development tools responsibly, prompt techniques, automation use-cases, quality/safety considerations).
• Ability to identify where AI can support engineering productivity and automation outcomes.

7) Certifications (nice to have)

• Relevant certifications are welcomed (examples: Azure, Ansible/Red Hat, DevOps/CI-CD, ITIL/Agile, or equivalent).

• Provide customer support/ service on the DevOps tools 
  • Timely support internal & external customers escalations on multiple platforms
  • Troubleshoot the various problems that arise in implementation of DevOps tools across the project/ module
  • Perform root cause analysis of major incidents/ critical issues which may hamper project timeliness, quality or cost 
  • Develop alternate plans/ solutions to be implemented as per root cause analysis of critical problems 
  • Follow escalation matrix/ process as soon as a resolution gets complicated or isn’t resolved
  • Provide knowledge transfer, sharing best practices with the team and motivate

    • Incase of performance issues, take necessary action with zero tolerance for ‘will’ based performance issues
    • Ensure that organizational programs like Performance Nxtarewell understood and that the team is taking the opportunities presented by such programs to their and their levels below

    • Track team satisfaction scores and identify initiatives to build engagement within the team
