Application Engineer, Thermal

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:    

• Provide pre-sales consultancy for Datacenter critical infrastructure with special emphasis on Vertiv Thermal related product such as perimeter cooling & high density rack cooling 

• Receive customer inquiries and interpret customer specifications and requirements for technical proposals by generating Bill of Materials, proposal writing and product solutioning for tender submission. 

• Responsible to support through technical knowledge of Vertiv Thermal solution to Sales, Project, Service and Procurement during pre-sales to achieve deep plan and spec, win orders and smooth project delivery. This includes FAT clarification with respective stakeholders to comply with tender specification. 

• Liaison with Centralized Technical Support Team, Vertiv factory and product team on technical aspect coordination to provide holistic solution offer based on customer specifications. 

• Attend site walk to review and develop project scope, prepare documents for technical proposals and installation to ease contractor bidding when customer specifications are not specified. 

• Gather all pertinent information of projects tender. Perform reviews on existing system design to propose suitable upgrades and replacements for Thermal retrofit project. 

• Maintain the drawings (softcopies), catalogues, white papers, application and technical reference materials to ensure that they are updated, orderly and readily accessible. 

• Support to drive market awareness on Vertiv Thermal product to both internal & external customers.
