Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP)

Liquid Personnel is currently seeking a qualified and warranted Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) to support its client's busy Adult Social Care service on the Isle of Wight. This opportunity has arisen due to a short-term increase in workload and offers a flexible working pattern across both core and out-of-hours services.

What will your responsibilities be? 

• Carry out statutory AMHP duties within Adult Social Care
• Undertake Mental Health Act assessments in line with legislation
• Work flexibly across office hours and out-of-hours AMHP rota
• Collaborate with the Community Mental Health Team and wider partners
• Limited involvement in social care casework where required 

About the Team:

You will be part of the Adult Social Care and Housing Mental Health Team, working alongside experienced professionals in a supportive and collaborative environment. 

Location and Travel:

This role is based on the Isle of Wight, with office presence at County Hall in Newport.
Please note: Travel via ferry is required for this position.

Qualifications and Experience: 

To be successful in this role you must have;  

• Qualified Social Worker with current SWE registration
• Warranted AMHP status
• Proven experience completing Mental Health Act assessments
• Ability to work flexibly, including evening and out-of-hours shifts
• Strong decision-making and risk assessment skills
