About this role
We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Hotel Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in designing and managing hotel projects, demonstrating expertise in hospitality architecture and interior design. This role requires a blend of innovative design skills, project management capabilities, and an understanding of hotel functionality and guest experience.
Role & responsibilities
Concept Development
- Design unique and functional hotel spaces that align with brand identity and operational requirements.
- Develop creative design concepts and layouts for hotel architecture and interiors, including guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas.
Project Management
- Oversee architectural planning and execution from initial concept to project completion.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure alignment with project goals, budgets, and timelines.
Technical Expertise
- Develop detailed drawings, blueprints, and specifications for construction.
- Ensure designs comply with local building codes, safety regulations, and sustainability standards.
Collaboration
- Work closely with interior designers, landscape architects, and consultants to create cohesive designs.
- Partner with project managers and construction teams to address challenges during the building process.
Sustainability
- Incorporate sustainable and energy-efficient solutions into architectural designs.
- Focus on creating eco-friendly and operationally efficient hotel environments.
Quality Assurance
- Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure construction aligns with design intent and quality standards.
- Address design modifications as necessary based on project progress and client feedback.
Preferred candidate profile
- Education Bachelors or Masters degree in Architecture from a recognized institution.
- Experience Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in hospitality architecture, including hotel design and construction.
- Proven portfolio of completed hotel or hospitality-related projects.
- Skills
- Strong knowledge of architectural software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Excellent understanding of building codes, regulations, and sustainability standards.
- Exceptional design, visualization, and technical drafting skills.
- Effective communication, problem-solving, and project management abilities.
- Other Requirements
- Strong attention to detail and an ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel for site visits and project management.
- Certification with a recognized architectural board is a plus.
