Our people are the best part about Demetres and we're looking for the right people to carry the tradition of excellence forward to our brand new ice cream shop: Scooped by Demetres. With this store, we’re focusing exclusively on the craft ice creams we’ve been pioneering for 35+ years.

We strive for a high energy, kind and positive team. We believe in serving our handcrafted ice creams in bright, beautiful, and welcoming environments. We eat a lot of ice cream.

At Scooped by Demetres, we don't recruit for roles, we recruit for attitude and personality. As an Artisan, you will be responsible for greeting and assisting our guests; explaining our ice cream flavours; and scooping and serving delicious ice cream. There will also be a little food prep/production in the kitchen/cafe.  

This is a part-time position, requiring shifts during afternoons, nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities:

• Provide warm + personable service
• Articulate the craft behind our ice creams smartly each time
• Guide guests towards their (soon-to-be) favourite ice cream flavours
• Scoop and serve a lot of ice cream
  
  

Requirements:

• Able to work quickly and efficiently while multitasking
• Able to learn quickly, follow directions, maintain a clean station, and be organized
• Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
• Able to clearly & kindly communicate with guests and colleagues
