Assembly Engineer (Senior/Staff)

Job Description

Job Summary

OSAT Assembly Senior Engineer overseas the backend semiconductor manufacturing processes and activities at the OSATs. Acts as a primary technical Interface between Rensas and OSATs.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with OSATs to ensure good yield, quality, delivery and cost performance and drive improvement activities to meet KPI.
• Implement process and materials changes at the OSATs and runs qualification activities to qualify these changes.
• Develop and/or assist NPI to release new packages/products at OSATs and ensure seamless transition to production.
• Monitor OSAT performance and lead investigations on any issues related to the OSATs.
• Coordinate failure analysis activities and address the root cause together with OSATs and QA.
• Provide suggestions and ideas to improve work processes at Renesas.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering or Science or Mathematics
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Semiconductor Manufacturing environment
• Added advantage for candidates with experience in Assembly, NPI and 6 Sigma
• Knowledge in project or program management will be good to have
