About this role

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor solar power plant performance remotely on a daily basis through designated monitoring portals.
  • Ensure plant operations are carried out in line with preventive maintenance schedules, breakdown maintenance requirements, utility obligations, and Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) commitments.
  • Support O&M contractor teams in troubleshooting and resolving operational issues.
  • Respond promptly to plant emergencies as per the established emergency response procedures.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports, including DGR, WGR, and MIS reports.
  • Conduct periodic audits to ensure proper plant maintenance by O&M contractors.
  • Drive initiatives to improve plant uptime and operational efficiency.
  • Support routine and preventive maintenance activities across plant systems and equipment.
  • Continuously monitor plant performance and undertake any additional responsibilities assigned by management.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferred).
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in power plant operations, preferably in the solar sector.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and process management skills.
  • Understanding of contractual obligations related to plant operations and maintenance.
  • Capability to manage dynamic situations and work under pressure when required.
  • Willingness to travel to plant locations and corporate offices as needed.
  • Basic knowledge of ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 55001:2014 standards.
Role-Specific Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee all operational aspects of the solar power plants within the assigned cluster.
  • Ensure vendor site personnel are adequately trained for safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations.
  • Conduct daily online monitoring of plant performance.
  • Review daily generation reports and string-level performance.
  • Coordinate weekly generation reviews with AM vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Prepare monthly MIS reports and support JMR/AMR activities.
  • Execute any additional assignments delegated by the Regional Head - Asset Management.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, company policies, HSE requirements, and conduct regular safety inspections across all sites within the cluster.
