Assistant Actuarial Manager, Local Reporting & RBC, Hong Kong Corporate Actuarial

Position Responsibilities:

  • Review the model run results and produce the quarterly HKRBC results with analysis of movement, annual audit and filing, annual ORSA report and solvency sensitivity testing.

  • Review the HKRBC results in model change packages prepared by modelling team to ensure model integrity.

  • Support capital initiatives and capital planning to support the communication with internal stakeholders and decision making.

  • Support monthly HKRBC solvency estimate and able to explain the key drivers from market fluctuation.

  • Support analysis and implementation on upcoming capital regime change (e.g. Macau RBC, HKRBC rule review)

Required Qualifications:

  • Degree holder with professional actuarial qualifications such as ASA or equivalent.

  • Minimum 4 years’ of relevant working experience in insurance industry.

  • Solid actuarial knowledge and experience in valuation and financial reporting.

  • Experience in Solvency II or HKRBC related work

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to work with complex financial issues and concepts.

  • Strong technical/modeling skills, knowledge or experience in Python, AXIS or PathWise is an asset.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Good communication, presentation and coaching skills.

  • Always demonstrate initiatives and commitment, and able to work independently.

  • Able to manage multiple and conflicting requests from various parties.

  • Effective command of English, both spoken and written.
