Assistant Director of Admissions Services

Job Description:

Under the direct supervision of the Associate Director of Admissions Services, the Assistant Director of Admissions Services serves as the primary point of contact for Berklee’s prospective students and applicants across all physical campuses (Berklee College of Music, Boston Conservatory, and Berklee NYC). Delivering world-class support via phone, email, and virtual channels, this role guides candidates through application completion, audition participation, and matriculation. Key Responsibilities

Inquiry Resolution & Applicant Support:

• Multi-Campus Frontline Liaison: Serve as the main point of contact for prospective students and families across Berklee College of Music, Boston Conservatory, and Berklee NYC.
• Application & Enrollment Guidance: Counsel applicants through required application steps and matriculation milestones, including bill payments and immunizations.
• Outreach Campaigns: Participate in targeted outbound call campaigns and maintain high responsiveness across phone, email, and internal Slack communications.
• Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Partner with One Stop Student Services and Student Success Advising to ensure seamless issue resolution for incoming students.

Admissions Operations & Event Support:

• Systems & Data Integrity: Utilize Salesforce, Colleague, and PowerCampus to track applicant statuses, maintain database accuracy, and meet response standards.
• Audition & Recruitment Events: Participate in on-campus and virtual Audition and Interview (A&I) events, Open Houses, and regional outreach initiatives.
• Team Operations: Assist in supervising student employees and contribute to departmental project responsibilities.

What You'll Bring

• Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree preferred (music-related concentration preferred). Up to 3 years of high-quality customer service, admissions, or sales experience.
• Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with modern music styles, leading figures, music technology, and industry structures; background in performance, production, or business preferred.
• Technical Proficiency: Experience with Salesforce or other CRM platforms preferred; working knowledge of Colleague and PowerCampus systems.
• Core Attributes: Exceptional communication skills, disciplined time management, a goal-oriented mindset, and a collaborative team approach.
• Schedule Flexibility: Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends during peak admissions initiatives and major recruitment events.

Hiring Range: $56,000 to $75,000; salary dependent on experience and education.
