What you'll do
- Supervise and maintain all activities related to transportation of finished goods.
- Ensure proper delivery of goods to customer within specified time.
- Ensure smooth functioning of transport activities and arrangement of trucks.
- Handle insurance claims and accident data related to transportation.
- Check and clear transporter bills for extra charges like detention, height, open market debit, etc.
- Manage amendments of orders in coordination with sales and ISD.
- Conduct periodical freight market surveys in open truck market.
- Monitor cost control activities for minimizing costs incurred on freight, reverse logistics, and racks management.
- Provide safe working environment by ensuring regular use of PPE at work place.
- Coordinate daily with Zonal head, sales person, and customers as a single point of contact.
- Follow up daily with transporters for dispatch within 24 hours.
- Handle all types of transit issues faced by transporters during delivery at customer end.
