What you'll do

  • Manage complete accounting operations, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Bank Reconciliation.
  • Ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and annual closing of books of accounts.
  • Prepare MIS, financial statements, management reports, and variance analysis.
  • Monitor accounting accuracy and ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Coordinate with auditors for statutory, tax, and internal audits.
  • Ensure timely compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, Advance Tax, and other applicable statutory requirements.
  • Review GST returns, reconciliations, input tax credit, and tax assessments.
  • Coordinate with tax consultants and statutory authorities whenever required.
  • Ensure proper documentation and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Lead annual budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Prepare departmental and plant-wise budgets in coordination with respective functions.
  • Monitor actual performance against budgets and highlight significant variances.

Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Accounting & Reporting
    • Manage complete accounting operations, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Bank Reconciliation.

    • Prepare MIS, financial statements, management reports, and variance analysis.

2. Taxation & Statutory Compliance
    • Ensure timely compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, Advance Tax, and other applicable statutory requirements.

3. Budgeting & Financial Planning
    • Lead annual budgeting and forecasting activities.

4. Cash Flow & Working Capital Management
    • Prepare and monitor daily/weekly/monthly cash-flow projections.
    • Manage working capital, receivables, payables, inventory, and banking operations.
    • Monitor customer outstanding and improve collection efficiency.
    • Ensure optimum utilization of company funds and working capital.
5. Costing & Manufacturing Finance
    • Monitor product costing, manufacturing costs, overheads, and cost variances.
    • Analyze raw material, utilities, labour, production, and overhead costs.
    • Support management in product profitability and pricing decisions.
    • Work closely with Production, Procurement, Stores, Sales, and Operations teams to control costs.
6. Internal Controls & Process Improvement
    • Establish and strengthen financial controls and accounting processes.
    • Identify financial risks, control gaps, and opportunities for process improvement.
    • Ensure proper authorization and documentation for financial transactions.
    • Drive automation and improvement of Finance & Accounts processes through ERP systems.
7. Banking & Treasury
    • Manage banking relationships and routine banking transactions.
    • Coordinate with banks for working capital facilities, guarantees, LC, and other banking requirements.
    • Monitor fund utilization, interest costs, and banking charges.
    • Support management in evaluating financing and investment requirements.
8. Audit & Compliance
    • Coordinate with statutory auditors, internal auditors, tax auditors, and other external agencies.
    • Ensure timely closure of audit observations and implementation of corrective actions.
    • Maintain proper records and documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
9. Team Management
    • Lead, guide, and develop the Finance & Accounts team.
    • Allocate responsibilities and monitor team performance.
    • Ensure timely completion of accounting, reporting, taxation, and compliance activities.
    • Develop SOPs and improve team productivity and accountability.
