Grow in your Nursing career and support your community in this leadership role! As the Assistant Manager of Resident Care, your guidance helps shape care delivery, support your team, and uphold Residents’ dignity and rights.

We provide a fulsome orientation to set you up for success and help you thrive in your leadership role. If you were working for us as an Assistant Manager of Resident Care, here are some of the things you would have done last week:

Qualifications

To be hired into this role, you must have:

  • Required Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) with a current certification with the CNO
  • Required at least 1 year in Long Term Care and 3 years of experience in a healthcare managerial or managerial capacity, preferably in Long Term Care setting
  • Required demonstration of leadership and communication skills
  • Preferred Post-RPN education in Adult Training or 3 years’ relevant experience in adult training
  • Preferred specialized training in Infection Control, Quality Management, or Wound Care is preferred
  • Equivalent combinations of education, training, and experience will be considered
  • Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS) check completed within the past 6 months
  • TB 2 Step updated within the last year
