About this role

Royal Ocean Marine is looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Assistant Marine Superintendent ? Junior Marine Supt to join our client's dynamic team. This role is designed for individuals who are passionate about the maritime industry and are eager to contribute to the safe and efficient operation of marine vessels. As an Assistant Marine Superintendent, you will support the Senior Superintendents in various operational tasks, helping to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in monitoring vessel operations and ensuring adherence to safety and regulatory standards.
  • Support the Senior Superintendents in conducting audits and inspections of vessels.
  • Help maintain operational documentation and records, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Participate in crew training programs and safety meetings.
  • Collaborate with various departments to support maintenance schedules and operational planning.
  • Contribute to the preparation of reports on vessel performance, incidents, and maintenance activities.
  • Engage in problem-solving discussions and assist in implementing improvements.

Requirements

  • Degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related discipline.
  • 1-3 years of experience in the maritime industry, preferably in a supervisory or administrative role.
  • Strong understanding of marine operations and safety regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Willingness to travel for vessel inspections and audits.
