Assistant Merchandising Manager

Responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining visual merchandising standards across all stores to maximize sales, improve customer experience, optimize space productivity, and ensure consistent brand presentation

Visual Merchandising & Store Standards

·        Develop and maintain visual merchandising guidelines across all store formats.

·        Ensure consistent execution of visual standards, category presentation, and brand identity.

·        Conduct store audits to evaluate merchandising quality and customer navigation.

·        Identify opportunities to improve product visibility, shopper engagement, and conversion rates.

·        Monitor store appearance, displays, signage, and promotional execution.

Space Planning & Planogram Management

·        Supervise creation, implementation, and maintenance of planograms.

·        Validate category layouts based on sales performance and shopper behavior.

·        Ensure approved planograms are accurately implemented across stores.

·        Review shelf capacities, facings, adjacencies, and category flow.

·        Lead category resets, store remerchandising projects, and layout optimizations.

Commercial & Category Optimization

·        Collaborate with Merchandising Manager to improve category performance through effective space allocation.

·        Optimize hot zones, impulse areas, promotional locations, and seasonal displays.

·        Support new store openings, remodels, and layout redesign projects.

·        Drive initiatives that improve sales per square meter and category profitability.

Promotional & Seasonal Execution

·        Plan and supervise promotional campaigns, seasonal events, and supplier activations.

·        Ensure promotional displays comply with commercial objectives and visual standards.

·        Coordinate execution timelines with store operations and suppliers.

·        Evaluate effectiveness of promotional displays and recommend improvements.

Team Supervision & Coordination

·        Supervise store merchandising teams.

·        Provide coaching and training on merchandising standards.

·        Coordinate with Operations merchandising team & Merchandising Manager.

·        Monitor corrective actions and ensure timely resolution of merchandising issues.

Reporting & Performance Management

·        Prepare merchandising performance reports & Check List.

·        Monitor execution KPIs and identify improvement opportunities.

·        Present recommendations based on sales, traffic flow, and merchandising analytics.

·        Maintain accurate merchandising documentation and implementation records.

Requirements

·        3–5+ years’ experience in Visual Merchandising, Space Planning, or Retail Operations.

·        Strong knowledge of retail merchandising principles and shopper behavior.

·        Experience with Planograming software.

·        Excel and reporting capabilities.
