ACADEMIC FACULTY APPOINTMENT: The Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine
A Tenure-Track Assistant Professor of Geroscience at Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine is expected to contribute to the development of research and teaching at the School. He/she is expected to undertake high quality internationally leading research, in line with the overarching research strategy of Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, in addition to any other duties as assigned by the Vice Dean, Research and Dean.
Job Purpose:
The appointee will be expected to undertake high quality research in the broad area of ageing research, in line with the research strategy of the School and in conjunction with other recent appointments, obtain research funding and supervise research staff and students.
The appointee is expected to undertake teaching and educational responsibilities for the training of medical students and postgraduate research students. Teaching methods will include extensive use of team-based learning and e-learning.
The appointee is expected to contribute to integration of science relating to the broad area of ageing research into the MBBS curriculum and to ensure the delivery of excellence in these areas, including the team-based delivery of the curriculum.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and support research projects (including interdisciplinary research) with other faculty in the field of ageing research at LKCMedicine and across the wider NTU community, as well as with relevant clinical partners. These may include research that pertains to all health aspects relating to ageing, including, but not limited to, cognitive dysfunction, neurodegeneration, metabolic disorders, cancer, and innovative therapeutic interventions.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience:
MBBS/MD and/or PhD degree(s)
Relevant postdoctoral or clinical experience
