The Provincial Hotel is looking for an experienced Assistant Venue Manager to join the team and help lead one of Melbourne’s busy late-night venues.

We’re looking for a confident, hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, knows how to lead a team through a busy service and can confidently manage the challenges that come with late-night trade.

Already an AVM? Great. A strong Senior Duty Manager ready to take the next step would also be a great fit.

What you’ll be doing

• Supporting the Venue Manager with day-to-day operations
• Leading the team through busy services and late-night trade
• Managing patron welfare, incidents, RSA and venue compliance
• Coaching and developing the team
• Driving great guest experiences and strong venue standards
• Stepping up and taking ownership when the VM isn’t there

What we’re looking for

• Experience as an AVM, or a Senior DM ready to step up
• Strong pub, bar or late-night venue experience
• A confident and calm approach to challenging situations
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• A genuine interest in developing your hospitality career
