Job Description & Summary

Kickstart your career in accountancy with PwC’s Assurance Academy!
Are you ready to combine your RA qualification with challenging and impactful client engagements? At PwC, you’ll join our Assurance Academy, where you’ll contribute to statutory audits from day one and grow quickly within a close-knit team where learning never stops.

The Assurance Academy at a glance

You will start in a two-year programme in which you work four days a week on interim and year-end audits for a variety of clients, while dedicating one day per week to your RA studies. You will build a strong foundation in auditing, work with modern digital tooling and AI, and receive coaching that helps you continuously bring out the best in yourself.

What you’ll do

In this position, you will work on audits four days a week and attend your RA programme one day per week. You will support interim and year-end financial statement audits, map and assess processes, internal controls and IT systems, and analyse financial data. Along the way, you will learn how to report clearly, collaborate professionally with clients and colleagues, and manage different situations and deadlines. You will also use digital tools and AI to work more efficiently and effectively, gradually taking on more responsibility within audit engagements.

Examples of your tasks include:

  • Mapping and testing processes and key controls;
  • Analyzing data and financial statement items during year-end audits;
  • Documenting findings in audit files;
  • Collaborating with colleagues at client sites and in the office;
  • Progressing quickly to more complex tasks and greater responsibility.

What we’re looking for

You are eager to learn, enjoy working collaboratively, and communicate clearly with both clients and colleagues. You demonstrate adaptability and flexibility, are able to set priorities effectively, and show resilience in an environment where you combine work and study.

  • Completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree in accountancy or a related field;
  • Basic knowledge of accounting;
  • Start your RA qualification from day one;
  • Experience with or affinity for digital tooling and AI
  • Fluent in Dutch or English, spoken and written;
  • Available from September or February;
  • Driver’s license B (preferred).

At PwC, you can be yourself, perform at your best in a high-performance organization, and grow within our global network. We offer:

  • A competitive salary and clear growth opportunities;
  • A permanent contract from the start and a motivating work environment where collaboration and recognition are key;
  • A wide range of tailored training programs focused on professional growth and leadership development;
  • Choose the mobility option that suits you best: an electric lease car of your choice or a mobility allowance for business travel;
  • 30 vacation days with the option to purchase additional days;
  • Your well-being is our priority. You’ll receive a personal well-being budget to invest in your physical and mental health, plus access to our well-being platform OpenUp;
  • The opportunity to work on challenging and meaningful client engagements, use leading technologies such as AI tools, learn from the best, and receive support through coaching. Together, we work as an inclusive team to make a real impact;
