What you'll do

  • Perform first level support DSMFlex lens manufacturing. LS1 Lens manufacturing, and Chemical production MES and SCADA system operation and maintenance.
  • Perform system change, enhancement and bug fixes for MES system.
  • Maintain and perform routine system/server health check.
  • Support the MES/SCADA related project, develop/review project document including URS, IOQ protocol and SOP, perform computer system validation.
  • Conduct investigation for non-conformance (NCR), Field Action Assessment (FAA) and participate in customer complaints investigation.
  • Liaison with site, global and regional Alcon to ensure good working relationship.
  • Ensure HSE, GDP, GMP and Alcon Corporation policy compliance maintained
  • Support data driven smart manufacturing initiative

  • Diploma/Bachelor in IT, Computer Science or related engineering discipline
  • 1-2 years of experience in engineering or manufacturing industries, preferably in medical device or pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge and experiences in Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and Supervisory Control Automation and Data Acquisition (SCADA).
  • Sound technical problem-solving skills with experience in advanced manufacturing equipment engineering.
  • Hands on knowledge on automation engineering, PLC/SCADA/MES systems, Microsoft SQL/Oracle/Access database, Microsoft Visual Basic/C#/ASP.net/Python programming and IT (Infrastructure and Network).
  • Good communication skills and able to lead a team.

Nice to have

  • Six Sigma certification preferred
  • Knowledge of 21 CFR Part 11 (computerized system validation) is preferred

As the Associate, Automation & Control Engineering, you will maintain and provide effective MES/SCADA and related application support for LS1/DMS Flex Lens manufacturing platform and Chemical Production through on-time support and continuous improvement

What You'll Bring to Alcon
